Engagement Party Invitations

Engagement Party Invitations

Throughout the course of my engagement, I've done quite a few DIY projects, with more planned.  I've always loved being creative and this is really allowing me the chance to do so!
I started out with DIY because my in-laws decided to throw us an engagement party for the Dutch side of our friends and family.  They had seen some of my scrapbooking (I made a scrapbook valentines day card for Anton as well as a scrapbooked calendar) and they asked me if I would make the invitations for it.  I gladly said yes!  The hardest part of this was that it was done in the Netherlands where I was on much more unfamiliar territory and in addition to that, didn't have my stockpiles of tools and already purchased papers, stickers, lettering, etc.  I found that the Netherlands doesn't have NEARLY as much readily available scrapbooking supplies as I know I can find here, and they didn't have things like stickers saying "We are engaged" type of things (in Dutch of course, but I would suspect that most of you would have a clue what I was saying if I put "Wij zijn verloofd"!  lol) so I had to adlib on that and trust my own handwriting for 25 invites.  I'm pretty happy with what I was able to come up with and I got a lot of compliments on them from people at the party!  Here's what I came up with:
